The LOVE

love with hearts
Love, baby the love

That’s what keeps us
Here longer than we should be
Ever near much stronger than it would be

Love, baby the love
Only love can make us all we could be
Void us out sometimes we ponder, should we?
Each annoyed can we break up? We ask how could we?

…And even if we did, how would we
Not get back together?
In our hub it’s crazy enough
But we weather through whatever
Because of the love, baby the love

“The Sensation Of Your Kiss”

N
eeding the sensation

Of Your kiss
Was the spark that sparked all this

I’d been blessed but felt no bliss
More or less my mind was made up – to only just exist

But being lost in the sensation of your kiss
Exposed what I had missed
Though it was always at my fingertips
The touching of our lips
Enabled me to come to grips – with the passion in our midst
Receive your love, give you love…

…And now my tender heart insists
I live for the sensation of your kiss

“You Are Not My Friend”

I knocked on your door
You wouldn’t let me in
You are not my friend
I stood out in the rain
Looking pitiful
You remained
Inhospitable
You are not the friend you
Profusely claim to be
I defend you
You don’t do the same for me
I begged for food
And you didn’t share
Not even a scrap
From your table
You were rude
You didn’t care
You felt it was best
For me to stay disabled
I can’t depend on you
To the very end
You’ve proven it’s true
You are not my friend
I don’t feel a sense of entitlement|
I feel small where something big should be
Everything vital went
Except for my dignity
And I haven’t recovered
Something paramount hasn’t come through
Nor has the tiniest dividend
In the process I’ve discovered
I can’t count on you
You are not my friend

H ow do
I reach you?

H ow do I start to move on and begin
O pening up to open you up
W hen closure hasn’t come to an end

D o I reach you when you break?
O r beseech you when you bend?

I can meet you in the middle, but what happens after then?

R oads can only go so far
E ven I am not invincible
A nd I’m not gonna say you are
‘C ause that would not be sensible
H ow do I learn a new lesson to teach you?

U-turn & return, tell me how do I reach you?

“The Rhythm Of A Better Life”

I am without borders
Still within a trebled clef caused by this strife
Of living acapella
Lusting for the rhythm of a better life
As music seeks to strike a chord within my spirit
There is no major way for me to hear it
In isolation, how do I with my syncopated instrument
Orchestrate a sense of harmony
Not as one isolated incident…
…But as one with song that’s learned to dance with me

“Confessions Of A Soul Mate”

Sometimes I bore you
Sometimes I stress you
I adore you
I would rather decompress you
I confess
You…
Are the soul mate
I have had visions of
You are my life
And I live for your love

“Sweet Words”

I gaze at you and the stars
I wonder why they don’t compare
You shine brighter than they are
You make me need you more than air

I breathe you in
Exhale you out
Receive you when
The rose buds sprout

All at once I softly sigh
You smiled again and caught my eye
Silly me what could I do?
I found sweet words and wrote a few

“The Unconditional Condition”

Tags

Sometimes you make me smile unconditionally
At times I cry when I think about what you do to me
The condition you leave me in
How you grieve me when
You have to go
It’s as if you’re conditioning me
To retrieve me in
Your afterglow
Is there something I have to know?
Have I nothing to worry over?
Or am I right tonight to have suspicion?
By daylight if you don’t hurry over
Must I discard my condition?
And allow you to flee you and me
Unconditionally

“I Don’t Always Get It Right”

(For The Woman of My Dreams)

I know I don’t always get it right
But when I do
It’s like lightning in a bottle unleashed
Think of it as a remedy for the common cold
I become a man who found his niche

My mother prayed for this day to come
Although she didn’t live to see it
I got a feeling she put a good word in
And something greater helped me be it

Because I don’t always get it right
Heaven knows it’s true
How could having this be wrong when what
Makes it right is you

I can brag about the way you kiss me
The way you pout the way you miss me
And finding out you can’t resist me
Brings me much delight
The pressure’s on and I insist we
Snuggle up tonight
But before we do let’s make a list we
Follow so we don’t fight
I love the way it makes me feel
When I get it right

“A Fascinating Realization”

I find it fascinating how a

Blessing becomes a curse
And pleasure becomes torment
How what’s good turns worse
And active goes dormant

In the grand scheme
A man dreams
And right there
His plan is forsaken
As he awakens
From a nightmare

Once floored by a spell
 He is bored as hell
Nevertheless
The sight of a dress
Hugging curves
Captures his heart
Then rips it apart
And his ex says
It’s what he deserves
